State dues
Illinois HOSA state dues are $20 per member per program year, paid alongside national dues through your chapter advisor's affiliation.
Competitive events
Enter industry-endorsed events across more than 50 categories, including clinical skills, health professions knowledge, leadership, and team events.
Scholarships & recognition
Members are eligible for HOSA scholarships, service recognition, and awards that follow you onto applications and transcripts.
Statewide network
76 active chapters, 8 sections, and a slate of elected state officers who represent members across all of Illinois.
Membership is registered by your advisor through your school. If your school doesn't have a chapter yet, one can be started at any point in the year.

State officers are elected by the membership at the State Leadership Conference. If you want the biggest room Illinois HOSA can put you in, this is it.
Be an affiliated Illinois HOSA member in good standing.
Have your chapter advisor's written endorsement.
Maintain the academic standing your school requires.
Commit to the full one-year term and its travel.

Talk with your advisor and confirm you meet the requirements.

Submit the candidate application and endorsement before the deadline.

Complete candidate screening and prepare your campaign materials.

Campaign at the State Leadership Conference and stand for election.
Application deadline
February 1
Candidate materials are due to the State Officer Coordinator ahead of the State Leadership Conference. Confirm the current program-year date with your advisor.
Endorsement from your chapter advisor is required.
