One day in October and your officer team comes back trained, briefed on this year's competitive events, and knowing what the year looks like. Chapters that skip it spend the autumn guessing.

What FLC Is
Preparation, Not Competition
FLC is the first Illinois HOSA event of the year. It's leadership training, competitive event orientation, and chapter planning, the groundwork for everything that follows.
FLC is not part of the competitive chain. Missing it doesn't affect eligibility for Prelims, SLC, or ILC. But chapters that attend start the season knowing what they're preparing for and how the year runs.

Two locations, one day each. Attend whichever is closer, because the content is the same.

Before You Register
Advisors must attend. Students can't attend on their own, and you cannot send a parent or work in the advisor's place.
Officer teams only. Send as many chapter officers as you can take part. Please limit attendance to your chapter's officer team.
Registration closes September 28. Late registration is handled through the state office, email us before you send payment.

New this year? FLC covers most of what the advisor boot camps cover. The 2026 boot camps (July 7 and August 21) have passed, so if you're new, FLC is the place.
The workshop fee is separate from your membership dues. Registration is submitted by the chapter advisor for the whole team, and students don't register individually.

Before You Go

- Your chapter's officer team, and your advisor must attend.
- Getting there
- Advisors coordinate transportation and travel. Neither venue provides it.
- What's included
- Lunch and an Illinois HOSA T-shirt, both tracks.
- Dress
- Business casual or chapter polos. The full HOSA dress code applies at SLC, not here.
- Accommodations
- Students needing accessibility accommodations should let us know when registering.
